FROM SLOVAKIA TO BERKLEE AND BACK AGAIN

For the first time in history, a collaboration with Berklee College of Music—one of the world's most prestigious music institutions—is coming to Slovakia.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Za hranice s hudbou, we are bringing two Berklee College of Music faculty members to Slovakia. During their week-long residency, they will teach, mentor, and inspire young Slovak musicians. At the same time, two talented Slovaks will have the opportunity to attend summer study programs directly in Boston.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

To make this project possible, we need funding for:

• flights and travel expenses between Slovakia and Boston

• accommodation and program delivery costs during the faculty residency

• workshops and educational activities

• scholarships for Slovak students attending Berklee Summer Programs 2027

•the team running the program year-round.

ABOUT ZA HRANICE S HUDBOU

For the past 10 years, we have been opening doors for young people to high-quality music education, international mentorship, and new opportunities.

Over the years, we have:

• supported more than 370 students

• organized more than 80 educational activities

• built a community of over 300 active members

• achieved an outstanding participant recommendation score of 9.85/10

WHAT WE WILL ACCOMPLISH WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

€500 – Provides students at the ZHSH summer workshop with mentorship from a visiting Berklee faculty member.

€1,500 – Covers round-trip travel for one faculty member or scholarship recipient between Slovakia and Boston.

€2,500 – Enables one student to take part in a 1-week Berklee Summer Program.

€5,000 – Enables one student to complete the 5-week Aspire Performance Program.

€10,000 – Helps develop a long-term partnership between Slovakia and Berklee.

€20,000 – Supports the team that runs the program year-round and helps us bring more world-class partners and professionals to Slovakia.
