FROM SLOVAKIA TO BERKLEE AND BACK AGAIN

For the first time in history, a collaboration with Berklee College of Music—one of the world's most prestigious music institutions—is coming to Slovakia.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Za hranice s hudbou, we are bringing two Berklee College of Music faculty members to Slovakia. During their week-long residency, they will teach, mentor, and inspire young Slovak musicians. At the same time, two talented Slovak students will have the opportunity to attend summer study programs directly in Boston.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

To make this project possible, we need funding for:

• flights and travel expenses between Slovakia and Boston,

• accommodation and program delivery costs during the faculty residency,

• workshops and educational activities,

• scholarships for Slovak students attending Berklee Summer Programs.

ABOUT ZA HRANICE S HUDBOU

For the past 10 years, we have connected young people with high-quality music education, international mentorship, and new creative opportunities.

Over the years, we have:

• supported more than 370 students,

• organized more than 80 educational activities,

• built a community of over 300 active members,

• achieved an outstanding participant recommendation score of 9.85/10.

2026 CAMPAIGN GOAL: €40,000

€500 – Mentorship from a visiting Berklee faculty member for Slovak students.

€1,500 – Round-trip travel for one Berklee faculty member or scholarship recipient between Boston and Slovakia.

€2,500 – Participation of one Slovak student in a 1-week Berklee Summer Program.

€5,000 – Participation of one Slovak student in Berklee's prestigious 5-Week Aspire Performance Program.

€10,000+ – Development of a long-term educational partnership between Slovakia and Berklee.
